The Lender
You are borrowing time, and the terms are his.
The number at the top of the screen is how many seconds you have left to live. It never stops falling. It is also the only thing you have to bet with.
Someone sits opposite holding a hand of FIST, PALM, BLADE. You are told how many of each he holds. You are never told the order. Every card he plays is gone for good — so count them. His last card is one you can know for certain.
Then, from round five, he starts covering them.
Every five rounds he stops dealing and offers you an exchange. He gives and he takes in the same breath, and the terms are always printed.
You cannot win. Get further than last time.
Not one asset file
Every pixel and every sound is generated in code at runtime — the opponents, the drawn title face, the room, the CRT, the drone, the heartbeat under the last nine seconds. No art folder. No audio folder. No font file.
| 1 2 3 | throw FIST, PALM, BLADE — or click |
| R | refuse: pay to discard his next card unseen |
| H | rules — the clock stops while you read |
| M | sound |
